225 Studios is a film and video production company established in 1980. For a number of years the studios specialised in recording weddings both on Super 8mm film and in the early days of video on Sony Betamax. Nowadays the studios produce Training Films for most of the major Train Operating Companies (TOC's) in The United Kingdom. Once the Training Films have had certain prohibited information edited out we then put them out on the market for sale to the general public either by Direct Sales from ourselves or Ian Allan Bookshops, Wolverton Rail (On-line Store) and The Signal Box. We also film on a ‘local-life’ basis. This includes recording modern history in the making and special events, such as memorable train journeys, village, town and city tours, and ‘end of an era’ occasions such as the last days of the giant Hovercraft on their run from Dover to Calais. We also produce a wide variety of corporate videos together with training films for Newsquest Essex and The Post Office. The studios also specialise in recording amateur dramatic shows and musicals put on by dance schools. We only use professional equipment DVD burners converting to DVD-R Format |
